Cole Keeps 2nd in Points Series |
| Cole and his team (family and tuner / coach DJ Ortiz) make the 8 hour journey to Lake Garnett, Kansas for the 3rd round of the KART Regional series. Cole ran hard all weekend and continued to improve his lap times each time out. In the prefinal he took 2nd place and did not relinquish it the last 7 laps. In the final, he started on outside pole and was pushed to 5th place in turn 1. He quickly fought his way back into 3rd; however, his brakes came apart rubbing the rotor and slowing his lap times off the lead cars. He still managed to drive the car to a third place finish in the final and keep his 2nd Place in the Series. |
