Cole Glasson's Season Ends with Injury |
| Cole entered the last SWRC Regional Race in first place and hit the track in practice very fast on Friday. He was entered in both the Tag Gazelle class as well as the Mini Max class and by mid day had the fastest lap times of all the competitors in both classes. In his next to last practice in the Mini Max, he was in the back straight away and was clipped from behind by a Rotax Masters driver sending him into the barrier at a high speed (approximately 70 miles per hour). Luckily he only sustained a broken arm in two places and a hurtful pride of losing the championship. As we await the final points posting, it looks like he still finished second in the series. He is looking forward to healing and starting the 2009 season in Daytona. Please follow the season by clicking on the Schedule for 2009 as he contends to be one of the best in the nation. |
