Cole Makes First Stars of Karting Appearance |
| The weekend proved to be a challenge to say the least. Cole arrived in Ocala, Florida to face some hard challenges. While he drove extremely well, his pit crew could never get the car to handle right coming out of the corners which caused him to lose the ground he made up on the straight aways. During the first couple of days of racing, Cole stayed almost 1.5 seconds off the lead kart pace, but by Sun day had managed to get up to 8/10ths off the lead kart and start posting his fastest times of the weekend in the prefinal and final. While he ran in the back of the field, the Final allowed him to do some serious racing with another young driver, Tate Hollerman as they traded spots the entire race. Cole came out of the weekend ranked 15th in the series and will be very prepared for the national scene as the next races arrive in May.
