Rookie Cadet Driver of the Month - Cole Glasson! |
| Cole's not really a rookie but he is new to Cadet's. This will be his first full season in a Cadet. Already he has taken four poles and has a five wins. Last weekend in an Outlaw money race in Texas he took the pole by .7 seconds and broke his own personal best track record in the process. This weekend, he again was in the front, qualifying 2nd, winning the pre-final, and leading many of the laps back and forth in the final, only to come in second by two kart lengths to one of the nation's best drivers, Bailey Ring.
"Glasson Wins Heat and Almost wins Final, Schneider Third, The Texas race was close. Cole missed the pole by 7/100ths of a second. In the heat he took the lead and held it against an 11 year old, 4 years older and more experienced than him. In the final he again took the lead but lost it with a few laps to go. He was able to stay very close but could not get back around for the win.
Cole made the trip to Daytona for the WKA Man Cup races and qualified mid pack in his first ever attempt at such a big race in his first ever K80 race. You can be sure that he'll be a force to be reckoned with in years to come. We were proud to name Cole to the Tornado Factory Team this season and look forward to his growth in the next three years in the Cadet class.
